Because They Can't Tell Us

Laboratory tests give us information about your pet that can’t be obtained from a physical examination. Testing often aids in the early detection of diseases, from heartworm disease to kidney disease to cancer. Our hospital has a full in-house laboratory to perform a plethora of tests. For urgent conditions and emergencies, our high-tech equipment provides us with results in a timely manner. Enabling us to proceed with the appropriate care. We also work closely with laboratories across the United States if we need more specialized diagnostics performed.

Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays make it easier for us to evaluate your pet’s bones, joints, chest and abdomen. Our advanced X-ray technology delivers sharp, high-quality radiographs that enable us to make a high-quality diagnosis. We can detect and evaluate bone fractures, inflammation of the joints, vital organ size and shape, along with abnormalities involving the lungs.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound can fill in any information gaps left after initial screening tests and X-rays. Health conditions associated with the abdominal organs and blood vessels can be explored in greater detail. Ultrasound allows us to detect minor changes happening internally, which may not be visible on x-rays. It gives us the ability to see inside organs to assess their internal structure. We can check for fluid in the abdominal cavity, monitor pregnancies, detect and monitor tumors, and much more.
