Amanda Cunningham Veterinarian, Practice Owner, & Founder

Background
Dr. Cunningham grew up on a farm in Niles, Michigan and realized she wanted to be a veterinarian when she was only 13 years old. After living in the South for a few years, she returned home and planted our animal hospital with her longtime friend Caisha Moyer.

Dr Rachael Daly Associate Veterinarian

Background
Dr. Daly graduated from Tufts Vet School in 2006 before beginning her career as a small animal veterinarian and TNR surgeon at a local SPCA in New England. She enjoys occasional international travel as a volunteer surgeon as well as donating her services to local wildlife and farm sanctuaries around the country. She is happy to have recently located back to her home state of Indiana, and excited about her career as an Associate Veterinarian at Lakeland Animal Care.

Dr. Michelle Getz Associate Veterinary

“I’ve always felt that being a veterinarian is about more than caring for animals, it’s about being there for the people who love them, too.”
Background
Dr. Getz was raised in LaGrange on a small farm surrounded by a variety of animals. She grew up showing rabbits and goats. She has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember, beginning with her first dog, who needed emergency veterinary care when she was a child. Dr. Getz has quite a variety of veterinary experience, including general practice, emergency and urgent care, large animal and equine ambulatory medicine, research, and swine medicine. Nowadays, she enjoys small animal general practice, with a focus on providing compassionate, individualized care to patients and their families.

Background
Caisha knew she wanted to be in veterinary medicine as far back as she can remember. She grew up in the Elkhart area where her parents always had cats, dogs, lizards, rabbits and guinea pigs. She is known for her incredibly kind and gentle heart. Her empathy and compassion for people and animals alike has made this the ultimate career choice and dream job for her.

Background
Katie is married to her best friend Melvin. They have two crazy, stubborn, funny, beautiful girls, Josephine & Sophia! They also have four fur babies, Bruno, Taz, Mittens, and Raven. Katie is extremely happy and grateful to be back working in the clinic after a couple years away from it! She loves her veterinary care team and is excited for the future with Lakeland💚💙
